I have attached a picture of my Roman! He is supposed to be a Black and Tan Piebald with ticking, but his Tan turned out to be red brindle from his daddy! He is a little over a year old, and he has a gorgeous Black and Tan Piebald brother named max, who we don't own, and a lovely Red Brindle brother of the same litter named Lionel! I think Piebalds are absolutely gorgeous and adorable, and they should not be excluded because of their spots! Piebalds are just as beautiful as a solid red, and they deserve acceptance just as much.

I have owned and also raised dachshunds. I bred My red Brindle lady with my black and tan dapple male, and got 4 piebald puppies. All of which were absolutely gorgeous! The piebalds give a lot of flavor to the breed just like the dapples and the brindles do. They are beautiful and have the same personality as all other dachshunds. And I DO NOT feel like they should be excluded.

I owned a black and white female piebald that past away due to a thyroid condition. She was a real good dachshund. I am looking for another and my new dachshund will be a piebald. I like the piebald pattern very much and it should be recognized as a dachshund color pattern.

We do not have a piebald yet but are looking forward to one in the near future. Please do not discriminate against such a beautiful pattern!

I love the Piebalds! And Kirby loves his Piebald cousins!
No reason to exclude them. They should be included!

I want to sign your petition!
I have these two beautiful piebalds.
Gemma is black & tan short hair pie and is 2-1/2 years old. Giada is our baby, red/cream long hair pie, she is 8 months old. They are the rulers of this home, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

She is my best friend and loves me unconditionally. She is also the best little hound dog I know. She loves to dig, go into tunnels and hunt for thing to eat. She has all the trace and characteristics of what the hound dog bred is all about. What does just the coat pattern have to do with her not being a Dachshund.

I think piebald is so normal into the breed now, and look at all those champs... are they so wrong now???
I can not understand that this is getting to the order all that time... there are better things to watch and to take care for!!!!

I love the look of the piebald! I think that they are another choice we should be allowed to have if we so choose!

Education is the key, piebalds are not double dapples!
I am a proud owner of one red piebald, Zee!
He lives with his 9 (two legged) and 6 (four legged) family members
and is extremely spoiled.

I vote to allow Piebald Dachshunds in AKC and DCA competitions This pattern makes no difference on the strength, intelligence, health or ability to perform. As the proud owner of one black/tan smooth male and one red piebald smooth male, I am equally proud of both of my males and love and cherish them both. Lighten up and let the piebalds compete!!!

I am a dachshund owner, and happen to love piebalds. I have actually considered purchasing one as my next dachshund, and I am shocked that piebalds are not considered in the standard. The color fits into the typical hound dog color, so why shouldn't it be included in the standard??

My husband Ron and I, Becky Roberson are all for the Piebalds and think the coloring of the piebald are beautiful we have a lovely one named Ginger she is white with the red spots. I also think the writer of the A K C standard book should read the book again, for I thought the standard was for the confirmation of the animal and not the coloring If it is for the coloring and not the conformation then what would they suggest....put all piebalds down. I THINK NOT...!
Color diversity in the dachshund breed would and should be popular
and desired in the show ring.

I am the proud "Grandma" of two of the cutest piebalds ever
----Knute and Rockne---
and find it absolutely ridiculous that they would be
shunned by the DCA and AKC!!!!

My doxie, Gabriela, is dapple you can see a little bit of the dappling on her back and side. I love my dogs, The only dog I have that is piebald at this time is a rat terrier, Missy. Piebald is present in many dog breeds and is considered a fault in some. I do not believe that color should not disqualify a dog from conformation.

I think the Piebalds a beautiful and can't understand why anyone would want to keep them out of competition...my Sally has more of the true Hunter traits than the Reds I have...I think she is Dachshund through and through!
